Outdoor Adventure Program Hiring

The Outdoor Adventure program at the RWC is hiring! They currently are seeking those interested in working with the trips portion of their program!
This position involves planning and executing trips throughout Florida, the U.S., and beyond and the trips range from kayaking, camping, surfing,
hiking, white-water rafting, rock-climbing, and even caving!

Campus Kitchens Project

The SSA, along with the Environmental Initiative and the office of Service Learning are working to create a student run, on campus kitchen. The Campus Kitchens Project is a non-profit, nation wide organization, which looks to create a relationship between university student and members of their community in need.

The mission of The Campus Kitchens Project is to use service as a tool to:
• Strengthen Bodies by using existing resources to meet hunger and nutritional needs in our community;

Green Cities-Florida

Green Cities™ Florida is the inaugural launch of the Green Cities™ event series. This event, held May 19-21, 2009 at the Orange County Convention Center South Concourse Building, will create significant opportunities for building a green economy in the state of Florida. This is not your usual conference; Green Cities offers:

Organic Community Garden

On February 21 the SSA held its first volunteer day for the Organic Community Garden. 60 Volunteers came out to help get UCF's first Community Vegetable Garden off the ground. Participants spent the day preparing the sight, tilling the land, and planting the seeds which will create the first yield for the Organic Community Garden. Over the coming months, much work will have to be done in order for the garden to produce healthy, edible crops. In order for the SSA to maintain these crops the UCF student body will have to help.
